treatments
acupuncture
The treatment with fine acupuncture needles stimulates the circulation of Qi in the body, thereby treating both acute and chronic pain. Depending on the diagnosis, the location, number, and duration of needle insertion are carefully selected.
tui na
Tui Na works similarly to acupuncture by stimulating the circulation of Qi. However, it does not involve the use of needles. Instead, specific massage techniques and manipulations are applied, taking into account the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as the meridians and the five elements.
cupping / cupping massage
By creating a vacuum inside a cup, the muscular, connective, and fascial tissues can be treated through the technique known as cupping. This method helps to restore the smooth flow of the meridians within the body.
moxibution
During the treatment with moxibustion (using mugwort - Artemisia vulgaris), the generated heat can be used to alleviate pain, promote blood circulation and is commonly employed in Chinese medicine for chronic conditions.
gua sha
"Gua" means scraping, and "Sha" means redness. This gentle scraping method using a rounded spoon, horn, or gemstone is applied for example in cases of colds or commonly used in cosmetic treatments on the face.
wellness /sport massage
The classic wellness or sports massage can loosen tension in muscles and fascial tissues with carefully selected techniques, contributing to a relaxed feeling of body and mind.

pulse and tongue diagnostic
In Chinese medicine observing the tongue and feeling different pulse qualities are essential parts of the diagnostic process. They are highly valuable in determining the appropriate treatment methods.

My treatments are generally covered by supplementary insurance for alternative/complementary medicine, including Visana.
Depending on your personal insurance coverage, the insurance company will typically reimburse 70 to 90 percent of the costs.
